Avolo daan?
No, Jayashree’s story is just starting. She has many more mountains to climb, many more people to inspire and many more avolo daans to conquer.
Jayashree's
dream!
Descending from Kilimanjaro in 10.28 hours
Route: Lemosho Trail, Kilimanjaro
Altitude: 5,895 m (19,341 ft)
Distance ~ 28 kms
Jayashree took the Lemosho route, one of Kilimanjaro’s most demanding trails, known for its steep gradients, rocky terrain, and rapidly changing weather. Even the fittest find it nearly impossible to set this record, but Jayashree did it after surviving a stroke.

How will you descend Kilimanjaro in 10.28 hours?

I will,
Avolo daan
Beyond The Climb
Most see motherhood as a pause. Jayashree saw it as her power.
Her children, Janvi and Tanvi, became her reason to rise higher. It was a promise to show them what strength and resilience truly mean.

Who is Jayashree?
.jpeg)
She’s a daughter.
She’s a wife.
She’s a mother.
She’s a human.
These are roles she fulfils, but who is she, really?

She is a mountaineer.

It All Began When…
Jayashree watched Heidi dance across the Swiss Alps.
It was breathtaking to watch, literally breathtaking to attempt.
It sparked a question inside her.
What are you made of?
Jayashree wanted to see the answer, not just hear it.

The Test Before The Summit
Her days began before sunrise.
While the world slept, she trained.
Every week Nandi Hills climb became a rehearsal for Kilimanjaro.
Every controlled breath was practised for 19,341 feet above sea level.
People often asked, “Why push yourself so hard?”
She said “AVOLO DAAN! this is happening.”
Is It Worth It?
After her stroke, many people feared for her.
The Altitude. The Climate. The Risk. But not Jayashree.
She feared something else entirely - the untested.
She feared living a life where she never pushed against her own limits.
The Mind That Climbed First
On October 4th, 6:40AM, before her body ever took the first step, Jayashree’s mind had already stood on Kilimanjaro.
Her mind built the bridge, her body walked.
It didn’t understand impossible.
It only asked when.
What Kept Her Going?
Life throws mountains of doubt, valleys of fear, and storms of “you can’t.”
Every single time, Jayashree faces them with one phrase:
AVOLO DAAN!
That’s it!
When the alarm rings at 4 AM? Avolo daan
When her legs burn on the trail? Avolo daan
When she took 40+ injections in preparation? Avolo daan
It is not stubbornness. It is certainty.
It is the difference between hoping and knowing.
